Welcome to the world famous Abbey Tavern. A genuine 16th century tavern located in the lovely quaint fishing village of Howth. With its original stone walls, flagged floors, blazing turf fires!!! A real warm welcome to one of Dublin’s best venues. We are the Original "Traditional Irish Evening" celebrating over 45 years, which takes place in The Barn and features the world famous Abbey Tavern singers and musicians with a lively performance of music, song and the very best of Irish dancing (since 1963). The Pub, one of the oldest in Dublin, is the ideal place to lunch or a light evening meal or to just relax for a drink with friends in the genuine old world atmosphere. The Loft bar&grill is our exciting new restaurant, totally refurbished in August 2008, keeping the same old world charm and unique atmosphere. Specializing in local produce and fish direct from Howth harbour. We welcome you to Dublin and hope during your stay you will decide to take the coastal trip out to visit us. Our promise to you is an evening to remember!!! Yours sincerely, James & Eithne Scott-Lennon. We were runing slightly late so rang ahead which they did not mind at all. The décor is fabulous...real marine-like but not in your face. We had a basket of bread with various oils given to us as we sat which was a nice touch. We picked from the 3-courses-with wine- for-€70 menu and there was plenty to chose from. All courses were quite big so we were full by the end of the night! I had an amazing Bailey's Coffee - the nicest I have tasted. The service was great, the food tasty and the value excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant :-) '); //--> Joined Apr 10 9 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... monkeater (Foodie) Credibility Score: 31% Visited: 11 Jun 2010 | Posted: 3 Weeks ago If you live nearby, you have to visit! The staff were excellant, among the best service I have received in Dublin I thought. It's a nice place to eat. But the price was like little expensive for us. We had a selection of starters; chicken wings, garlic bread and chips and garlic mushrooms and it was just perfect grub for watching the game. We ate at the bar which added to the atmosphere for us. The staff are really friendly and the place is lovely and cosy. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 10] Next > Last Page >>
