Our orders were taken by a very friendly waitress who gave us excellent service. Value for money was fine and I would recommend this friendly pub a great place to meet, due to its atmosphere and location. Dinner was around 14 euros which isn't the cheapest either. They do the most amazing potato gratin that I would eat on its own. I had the Duck with noodles, which was very heavily covered in Soy Sauce and had no other flavours going on with it. In addition, the bar was very understaffed and staff were rushing around the place trying to serve the evening rush of people. Dont think Ill be returning. I used think Arc was passable, even enjoyable but recently it is very poor IMO. Food was bland, a bit cold and presented on greasy thumb printed plates. The waitresses were the best part of the meal. They seemed at least a bit interested and a tad apologetic for keeping us waiting for so long despite there being almost no one there. the food is also over priced for what you get. Compared to other local eateries the food at Arc is inferior and more expensive. We will not return. It is a shame because I did like Arc. PS. The owner floated around, chatted to the diners at 3 tables all around us but ignored us. Shame. I had the chicken burger which was ok as chicken burgers go but nothing to go wow at. All in all i thought it was a nice evening but the menu was a little pricey i thought, not so sure if i would go back again.. I availed of the "ladies night" tuesday menu which was €20 for a starter, a main and a cocktail! The food was excellent, I had the mushrooms to start and a lovely chicken dish for mains, it was beautiful! The food is so well prepared and presented really well. The waiting staff are so friendly and helpful and the restaurant is really comfortable! I can't wait to go back..! The staff are always attentive and courteous which, should be a standard in any restaurant. We came in for lunch absolutely starved and had the options of either the salad/sandwich bar or the Hot Food/Carvey section with several selections all priced at €10. I had the breasted chicken with peppercorn sauce veggies/tiny potato nuggets on the side while my partner indulged in the beef curry with a fresh portion of chips. Both meals were absolutely delightful with the head chef personally handing my partner his chips while we were paying for our meals. Our seating arrangements were comfortable and relaxing without any pressure to vacate the area at any time. The music selection was upbeat and contemporary while not being overbearing or obnoxious. Once we finished, the chef happened to be by our table once again and expressed his gratitude with a cheery smile. Needless to say, we love the Arc and will return soon! << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 14] Next > Last Page >>
