There was a large group of us and our drink order was taken first. This took a while and we thought if the food order had been taken first we wouldn't have had to wait so long for our orders to appear. However, the food is tasty. I had the goat's cheese salad and it was good though the slice of actual cheese was miniscule. Nice place to go after a late night out. Joined May 10 5 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... The atmosphere in here is always great in my opinion. I can people watch while my boyfriend watches football or sit with friends having a bite in one of the many cosy nooks and crannies. The food is good value and I would recommend the burgers and mash for a comfort food dinner that really hits the spot. Plus it's one of the oldest pubs in Dublin. Bit o' culture with your grub! Standard carvery style lunch available but you can also get wraps, sandwhichs and even sausage and chips if you fancy. Fantastic staff who are polite and effecient. An example being that I forgot my wallet one day at lunch and the guy behind the bar says "Just call round after work, don't let you food get cold". No charge either for my pint of orange cordial with lunch.. Enough said!
