Enjoy good food and drinks with unrivalled views of the waterfront. Ideal location for pre or post Concert refreshments, 5 minutes walk from the O2. Watch out for our new Outdoor Bar on the upper deck of the Ship... a promising option for a sunny afternoon on the Liffey! Please note that in the interest of health and safety, Children are not permitted to board the boat. Food is nice, wish the menu was more extensive with its fish options Joined Jan 08 34 Reviews 1 Hats Off! loading... ffitz (Guru) Credibility Score: 77%   Visited: 01 Jul 2010 | Posted: last month This place is lovely and very reasonable priced. 2 of us went and got several starter type things to share, food tasty and service very good and its fabulous if its a sunny day outside!! Only gripe is that anytime I am there, 95% of tables are reserved so you have to eat beside bar at window sills but still love it! Had previously tasted platters at a party which took place on board which were off a very high standard and so decided to have some sunday lunch on board. We both opted for the thai fish cakes starter portion which were tasty. The 3 times cooked chips were ok, nice and chunky but a little greasy and I wasn't very impressed with the bread basket which consisted of 2 varieties, 1 of which I did not like. Overall though a very enjoyable afternoon and I would return '); //--> Joined Jul 09 13 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... annelie (Connoisseur) Credibility Score: 44%   Visited: 31 Jan 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago went there on sunday befoe a concert in the 02.perfect spot. Bar was full but we wr more than welcome to have the ar food in the restauran. Waiter was real friendly. Good selection, we went for the chicken salad, which was real nice, well cooked noodle and not sloppy. Fshcakes was real firm and full of flavout, Also har the three time cooked chips, i would come back just for them. We will def be coming back especially before a gig and have already recommended friends who has been there with the same expreience. We were in the Blue River Bistro Bar, we had reserved an area for a group dinner. The staff were very helpful when we had extra people and asked for another table. There were 17 of us in total, and there were no long waits for courses. The food was okay, I had the chowder to start, followed by the fish and chips. Some of my friends had the fish too, and it varied in quality, mine was not one of the best pieces, but it was tasty. My fiancé had the sirloin steak and hers was a bit fatty, however the other steak eaters had no complaints. Some of our group were worried that the boat may be rocking, but it was very steady on the night. All in all, the food was reasonable, but not brilliant, the service was very good, and the venue is excellent. Even though the bar was very busy after the rugby match they moved a few tables around and were able to sit us very quickly. There were three people in my party, I had the seabass which was absolutely gorgeous, it was cooked to perfection and the accompanying potatoes were beautifully seasoned with garlic. My two companions both had the steak and said it was the best steak they have eaten in a restaurant in many years, one asked for it medium and the other medium to well done and they were cooked perfectly. We had two deserts, the apple crumble and the chocolate and orange torte and they were both fantastic. Adding two bottles or beer, a soft drink and two coffees the total was €98. We thought that was a great price for the quality of food that we got. We will all definitely be returning to Cill Airne as soon as possible. The waiting staff are extremely friendly.
