At Cactus jacks , we have simply set out to make a contemporary and appealing menu. "Our dishes are exotic, but uncomplicated. We are passionate about what we are attempting to achieve with our menu. We are appreciative of trends relating to health-consciousness and general ingredient quality and freshness. Chefs are creating lighter, healthier versions of traditional Mexican and European cookery with the emphasis on fun and fresh ingredients, sometimes "borrowing" ingredients from other cultures. Starters were very big and tasty - could really eat my main dish and boyfriend was the same. Generally nice place with friendly staff - is a little pricey though Joined Feb 10 5 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Paul.B (Newbie) Credibility Score: 29%   Visited: 18 Jul 2010 | Posted: 4 days ago Came here last Sunday evening after reading the reviews on here. ill keep it simple but to the point. Yeah the waiting staff are kinda useless. he forgot my Diet Coke and one of teh side orders. However once we reminded him it was quick and with a smile. the food is the reason you come here, and its the reason ill return. Good food, cheap as chips, and you leave feeling full and satisified. Speed the staff up if they forget your food and dont TIP if your unhappy with them.. but enjoy the food! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. However the service was very slow (but not necessarily bad). We had a show to go to and just about made it so I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're tight for time. We didn't have a booking but managed to get a table sraight away even though it was busy. The food was great, very good value. The only negative point was the service. Very slow taking the order, bringing the food and drinks. If you have time to spare, this is a great place!! '); //--> Joined Aug 09 24 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... A.N. Botyh of us ordered Burgers which when they arrived (25 mins later) were average. The nachos starter was very nice, although the chilli was slightly too rich for me. The burgers were delicious, I had a Latino burger and was really impressed. dessert was simple but delicious. Huge portions and the wine was very nice. The service was very quick and staff friendly and cheerful! Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and was spotless and very chic. Would definitely go again, and would love to try the fajitas next time. They had just introduced their new menu and we ordered a few tapas to share, some Nachos, Gacamole which were really amazing. The Service was below average as they forgot about the table and took forever to bring drinks. This was a little dissapointing because the place was not busy at all. I ordered the Fajitas and i have to say they were absolutely amazing and were cooked to perfection. The wine was amazing and the atomosphere was very relaxed overall a great place to sit down and have a laugh and enjoy good food Joined Apr 10 10 Reviews 1 Hats Off! loading... cblacklaw (Foodie) Credibility Score: 32%   Visited: 10 Jun 2010 | Posted: last month Three of us went here for dinner. The atmosphere was lovely but we found it very hard to get the attention of any of the waiters/waitresses. When we got the food it was absolutely beautiful and the wine was great value. For a nice meal with friends I would definitely recommend it and they do some great "made for sharing" dishes. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 61] Next > Last Page >>
