Cafe Provence is situated in the heart of Malahide village, North county Dublin. We open from 8:00am every morning right through until 9:00pm at night (11pm weekends). During the day, it is a great place to have breakfast, a delicious lunch or a coffee & scone. It is by far the most popular choice in Malahide for daytime dining. Much of our success is due to serving a wide range of delicious home-cooked food and meals as opposed to just sandwiches. We also have some tasty blackboard specials each day for extra variety. At 5pm we offer an a la carte menu which is quite different from the daytime menu. There is a nice selection of dishes including fresh seafood, steaks, duck, lamb, chicken, pasta and risotto. We also offer an early bird menu all night from Sunday – Thursday and Friday - Saturday from 5pm – 7pm, which is superb value (2 courses for €16.95). Our restaurant has a capacity of approximately 50 people. It is a popular venue for weddings, christenings, birthdays and other special occasions. Special set menus are available for large parties, which offer great value. We have recently introduced our party nights with live music and food which have been a great success so far. Our chefs and floor staff are highly motivated, and dedicated to ensuring that you have a delicious meal and a really pleasant dining experience. We look forward and welcome you to the next time you dine with us. Restaurant Reviews Add Your Review » Your Say Joined Apr 09 40 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Audi2005 (Guru) Credibility Score: 78%   Visited: 23 May 2010 | Posted: 2 Months ago Went to this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. I ordered the chicken wings for starter and fish and chips for main course. Unfortunately both were a bit of a let down. The vingar seemed very weak, so I asked for another that too was very weak. Perhaps I dined on a bad day, otherwise the dining area is very chic and staff very friendly. Will try it out again. They have recently started servings dinners and was in here with my girlfriend and just fell into dinner menu by a matter of 15 minutes. I had the chicken fajitas which were tasty although a few more of the small tortillas would not have gone astray. they were also expensive for what they were and are on the lunch menu for a lot cheaper. my girlfriend had the thai style chicken and pasta which didnt particularly work. A version of a ginger and garlic stiry fry that was not great and would have been better off with noodles and not pasta. We had two coffees which hit the spot at the end. All in all a good place for lunch with coffess and dessert but a bit of work on the food and pricing to make it an option for dinner. '); //--> Joined Oct 09 1 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Gordeaux (First Timer) Credibility Score: 23%   Visited: 14 Apr 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago This was my second visit to this restaraunt. I enjoyed it yet again, especially the small and simple menu. However unfortunately, my order was not available as they had run out, even though I was eating there at 7pm. Either way my Lasagne was nice and my girlfriend's Salad too. The prawns for starters were a little expensive but very nice and the deserts are excellent. Lovely retaurant, with decent food despite a limited menu. Is very expensive especially considering what you get. One or two small things really bothered us. The table beside us had the excellent looking fish & hand cut real chips. We ordered a side of chips expecting the same, but what we got was chips straight from the nearest Burger joint. Had the fajitas for main, which came with a good amount of filling but 3 tiny tortillas. I asked for one extra tortilla and was brought 3 more and then charged €7 for them! Have to say with so much competition is little things like this that mean I wont be back. The food is great but very expensive, for breakfast for 2 we had 2 irish breakfasts, a coffee, tea and an oj and it costs us 30 euro which is expensive for breakfast. However the food and service are great and I will continue to go there. DocOc (Foodie) Credibility Score: 30%   Visited: 28 Feb 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago Decided to go for lunch here after reading all the reviews. I have to say I was impressed by both the food and service. Everyone was very helpful, and a busy restaurant didn't affect this. I had one of the 6 or so specials, the plaice, which I really enjoyed. My girlfriend got a chicken fillet burger, and struggled to finish it. Overall, the food was fantastic and had I not already filled up on my main course, the dessert list was expansive. Well worth the visit, and clearly popular with the locals for good reason. For starters, the deep fried calamari was very tasty and still had the "sea" in it's taste. So it's FRESH and the batter was not overwhelming.. All this with really thinly sliced rings. Well done. The bruschetta unfortunately was a letdown. The presentation was a complete contrast to the calamari dish. Again, the staff compromised and allowed for me to choose the duck dish from the ala carte menu. It was tasty! Not the same as u would imagine with a duck confit, yet differently tasty! Well done. The only setback would be atmosphere, it's too loud for quiet conversations. And the price of the dinner in a pub-like setting would be it's downside. This restaurant would be more appropriate for a girls nite out with blue music in the background, and some interesting dancing on the floor. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 12] Next > Last Page >>
