Captain America's has a relaxed atmosphere and is fully licensed which is great when you want a beer with a burger or fantastic cocktails. Children are very welcome and Captain America's wonderful staff are renowned for keeping the kiddies entertained throughout their meal. Where else can you pay €13 for one enchilada with the rest of the plate taken up with salad or oven chips. For an american diner style restaurant you would think they could make their own chips. Totally rubbish, 2nd time being there and hated it as much as the 1st time. Should have gone with my gut instinct on my first visit. I'm giving it a littel extra as it does have quite a nice buzzy atmosphere, but staff rather solemn looking. They also had a great deal on cocktails and I had the oreo meltdown which was amazing. Would go again with vouchers, but it is a bit overpriced otherwise. With lunches being less than 10 quid- incl. a drink/ a beer/ a glass of rose, you really can't go too wrong. The food was all right- but then this place is more for its American Diner look and feel, the laidback atmosphere and the cheesy music- always a great spot for a few giggles- to break up a monotonous day, I'd highly recommend it :) Joined May 10 4 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... tweety27 (Newbie) Credibility Score: 14%   Visited: 24 Jun 2010 | Posted: last month Ate here for lunch recently. They do a very good lunch deal where you can get a meal and a drink (soft or alcoholic) for under ten euro. I ordered the Captain's Three - chicken wings, fries and salad and my friend ordered the cajun chicken burger and fries. Food was good and we got good sized portions (I got a load of chicken wings which came in a delicious bbq sauce.) My friend said his burger was good too. Service was good - quick and efficient. Overall had a very tasty lunch for a great price. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick, cheap lunch! Food wasn't anything I would be referring friends for but it is cheap so Value wise you get what you pay for. Cheap night out would highly recommend. Joined Jun 10 6 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... I find myself going here time and time again for lunch with a gang of class mates and it's always a nice atmosphere to sit and chat in. The staff are always lovely and even at busy lunch times the service is prompt. In terms of food I think their chicken wings and nachos and most of their starters menu are the winners for me, the burgers and pizzas from the main courses are just okay ( not very tasty but they fill you up ) and the deserts and milkshakes really are delicious. The only thing i'd change would be that the two for one cards could be used on the starters and deserts instead of on mains!! << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 32] Next > Last Page >>
