Food was delicious and wine was very nice. I've been here several times at this stage and can't rave about the place enough. Service is personal and friendly and the food is delicious. They have the nicest home made Trifle in the world made from a family recipe and they were good enough to give it to me when I asked! Perfect for couples, individuals or groups and very reasonably priced. I'll be back here again. Joined Nov 08 13 Reviews 1 Hats Off! loading... I rate service and value for money highly and the food is quite good. Really friendly staff and very attentive. The menu covers most people's tastes and the set menus are really good value. I will be happy to return there again. From the moment we arrived the staff were courteous and attentive. They could not have been any more helpful in arranging appropriate seating for the entire group. There is a excellent yet 'flexible' choice of great value cuisine on the menu and there was no problem staying on for a few after dinner drinks when the meal was over. They took a lot of the stress out of a very difficult day. Can't wait to get back and sample the experience again on a happier occasion. Usually I have found this a pleasant experience, however not on my last visit. We had a group booking and without going in to too much detail or naming names, they messed up with it. When this was pointed out to them they behaved in a disgraceful way and I will never return '); //--> Joined May 10 4 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Jo76 (Newbie) Credibility Score: 24% Visited: 30 May 2010 | Posted: 2 Months ago Not the first time of going here and definately not the last! Although there is only one vegetarian option on the main course menu, they are more than happy to make anything they can for you. The waitress could not do enough for us (without being over-bearing) even though the place was quite busy and she was on her own. That did not affect the service in anyway. The piano player on a sunday afternoon is a nice change but is not too loud that you cant have your own conversations. The only thing I would suggest is that they keep ashtrays on the tables outside rather than customers having to ask for one. The food, wine and staff are all brilliant. We were here most recently on the 30th April and enjoyed a lovely meal. I have been here many times before and always meant to write a review as I have never been disappointed. When there is live music, it does not interfere with conversations taking place at the table. I would also recommend weekday lunch and Sunday brunch as they are both excellent. To have a restaurant of this quality in the locality is much appreciated. Must compliment the staff - very welcoming and friendly. The chef was even happy to share his cheesecake recipe! This wasn't my first visit and food is always top quality. Value is unbelievable. I thought their early bird was fantastic and now with their Tuesday deal I don' think I can justify cooking at home! They often have live music which is always a treat. We were greeted at the door with a smile and a lovely welcome and all the way through our meal the staff were so pleasant. Great choice on the early bird and the food was fab. I couldn’t fault them for anything. I had heard mixed reports like you do about most places but was pleasantly surprised. I live locally so plan on going again. Myself and my mam had the lamb shanks for main course – they were cooked to perfection the lamb slid off the bone and just melted in our mouths. Every course was divine and all staff were pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely worth a visit. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 20] Next > Last Page >>
