Famous for a number of reasons, not least because it draws the glitteratti jet set. Wealthy buzz augmented on rugby weekends. Can be a fascinating place to rest your laurels. Serious pints, serious service, vibrant surroundings. Baggot Street and all it's wares to hand. Go. I like pub grub as much as the next person but it just felt a bit flung together for me. Ordered a sandwich on brown bread, it came on white. It was toasted so I didnt notice until the waitress had gone. Nothing else on the plate - just a giant white bread sandwich with ham (admittedly freshly carved), not fully melted cheese and scallion instead of onion. Bit disappointing. Could have done the same myself at home, only better. The food is always reliable, tasty and well presented. It is arguably the fastest service of any lunch venue. No sooner have you ordered the food but it's at your table. Highly recommend.
