At Elephant & Castle reservations aren't taken, but the waiting staff are more than happy to come look for you in the pub across the road. This is the perfect spot for a long, leisurely brunch - be sure to sample the to-die-for chicken wings. Although very busy in town it only took us five mins to be seated. Staff were very friendly. We were given enough time to make our decisions. I sided with the infamous chicken wings. I think hunger made me think that our food took a while to come but probably no more than average. Our water jug was filled up regularly. Food arrived and was very good. My only criticism was that the chips were extremely oily, although small in size they did not look like they had been drained of any oil after being cooked. No complaints with the chicken wings whatsoever and the other members of my party really enjoyed their food too. All at a reasonable price. This place has earned its great reputation and I will of course go back again Joined Jul 10 15 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... pamelac (Connoisseur) Credibility Score: 36% Visited: 07 Jul 2010 | Posted: 3 Weeks ago Book before you go or else you'll have to wait about an hour for a table but it is definately worth the wait the babyback ribs are the best and the chicken wings too. love this place and the atmosphere '); //--> Joined Jul 10 2 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... boldgoat (Newbie) Credibility Score: 19% Visited: 10 Jul 2010 | Posted: 3 Weeks ago I've eaten here twice in the past week having sampled their fantastic chicken wings and I'll be going back soon for some more. The food was absolutely fantastic, huge portions of delicious food. My gf had the pear salad which was also a delight. The only negative was the service. I felt like I had to pester the staff to get refills of water and on both occassions last week I had to request a bowl of water and napkins after my wings had arrived. I had noticed that most diners were given this without having to ask. I will be back for the food though. The service leaves a lot to be desired though. Dawmy (Connoisseur) Credibility Score: 55% Visited: 27 Jun 2010 | Posted: last month I haven't been here in 8 years I would say and then heard a friend mention it recently a couple of weeks ago. I decided to check out their website on Sunday 27th June and noticed they did a brunch menu on weekends until 4.30pm. So headed in with my husband and 2 young children. Well all I can say is fab, fab, fab. The service was excellent. The chicken wings are still to die for. Our children had some french toast and maple syrup. When their plates arrived to the table I was thinking I should have ordered one between them as the portions were huge. But I am glad I didn't as they gobbled up 2 thirds of their own dishes. We will definitely be back in a couple of weeks again for more. Joined Oct 08 5 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Was really impressed by my last visit - as always place was packed - chose to wait for table rather than go walking around for half an hr as was 9mths pregnant - lovely mgr got me a chair & glass of water - did his best to get us a table asap & was seated within 20 mins. Had a very non co-operative 3 yr old with us & the waitress was great getting colors over as soon as we sat down & put a rush on her food order... As always we had the chicken wings to start followed by 2 burgers - nice & moist.. food quality & service very good here & they know how to retain their customers. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 44] Next > Last Page >>
