This simple little diner serves good food at fast food prices and the weekend brunch is a real treat. Not to be missed. I got the homemade beans which were really tasty. My boyfriend got a full irish which was in his top 10 breakfasts of all time - high praise indeed!! Service only ok, but the food made up for it! I was a bit concerned at how cramped the place seemed, but it works. It's like dining in your grans kitchen. Food was good and portions generous. Wine, at e20 for a litre of the house wine was great value and was nice wine. Staff were friendly and service was good. Relaxed. laid back atmosphere with great food, lovely staff, and very reasonable prices for the quality of the food. At first I thought it was too crowded, but once seated, it feels cosy and atmospheric with a great buzz. We were a group of 6 with no booking and we were accommodated comfortably on a Friday night. We had a variety of meals between us and shared and tasted each others - cannot fault any dish. Service was great, we didn't have to wait (but never felt rushed either). I have been back twice since!! I had a tastless soup to start and a very dry duck main course. The vegatables didn't even have so much as salt on them for flavour. Little Kits main of dry chicken and even drier corn fritters really wasn't up to much either. Really tasty food and lots of it. I usually order the pizza to dine in and get a massive side salad for about €6. Their 1/2 and 1/2 deal is great - 1/2 roast in a roll and soup. Again lots of food - turkey roast in a roll is my favourite - turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce... I like the atmosphere and have always found the staff at the till and serving area very friendly. I did however go for dinner here about a month ago and found it quite pricey. Place was packed and everyone a little squished together but I was just happy to get a seat so didn't mind! Don't expect prettiness or garnishings but expect great, quick, wholesome food! << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 16] Next > Last Page >>
