I had never heard of the restaurant so didnt know what to expect. From the second we walked in we were looked after. An excellet evening with fantastic food and wine. One item that was not nice were the "pre - dinner" drinks. Some of the party had bellinis and they were not good at all and some of the other cocktails were not really up scratch. The food was delicious and the extensive wine menu gave a fantastic choice. Now that I know about Harrys I will be back - foor the food, not the cocktails! It was such a great deal 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine for €50. The wine was a gorgeous Chillean Merlot, a lot better than some house wines I've had. I got Deep Fried Brie and my friend got Fish Cakes for starter, both we really good. My friend ordered the Lamb Shank which just fell off the bone and melted in her mouth. I had the Fish and Chips, the portion was really generous and the fish was light and crispy. The tartare sauce was gorgeous. The only thing we didn't find great was the brownie we shared for desert, it was quite dry and tasted too much of orange. Both of us agreed we will definitely be going back there again and would highly recommend it!!! Never one to judge a book by its cover and with a vague memory of a recommendation, I popped in here yesterday evening with a mate, attracted by the broad and descriptive menu and low low prices (2 people, 2 courses and a bottle of House wine for €50!) Aside from the courteous staff and the buzzing atmosphere, the food was delicious. Starting with the fishcake and the lamb skewers, we were pleasantly surprised by the exact balance of flavour. This was an excellent precursor for the main which was out of this world. We supplemented our bill by a paltry €5 each to avail of the most delicate and sumptuous John Dory with the creamiest of mash and a hollandaise that you would sell your mother for! Mark my words Harry, I'll be back within the month! The place was quite busy when we arrived a full when we left. I liked the deco and all the bottles of wine on the walls and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Good selection of wine by the glass. Had a lovely Riesling @ €8 and my friend had a good quality Pinot Noir. Ordered the Organic Salmon with Prawn's mash and was very tasty, nice presentation and good portion. My friend had the Burger and she really enjoyed it. We did not have dessert but stayed in with a second glass of wine. Service was friendly and attentive. Will go back again. They have a special lunch menu for 15.50 for 2 courses and you can pick from a good choice of starters and main meals. There were three of us and two had the lamb skewers which were lovely, I had a feta cheese, beetroot and pumpkin seed, salad, gorgeous, lovely flavours. Our mains arrived and we had one fish and chips one chicken burger and one pasta dish with seafood, all plates were cleared. With a bottle of wine and one dessert the meal came to 85.00 Euro plus tip. The service was great; I would highly recommend this restaurant. I am all for giving my custom to restaurants that are making the effort to offer good food and service at value prices. Keep up the good work. Despite being situated on busy Dawson Street, this place has the feel of a basement jazz café. Candles light the place, and the open brick wall adds to the sense of authenticity. They have a good deal on wine + a course type meal combinations. I had the gourmet hamburger which was absolutely delicious. The sauces that come with it are marvellous and if your in the market for a good feed with some class I highly recommend it. My companion has the steak and mash, his too was polished off. I’d a taste or too. The mash was creamy and comforting, the steak cooked to perfection. The only drawback was that the hostess was occasionally a smidge abrupt thoughout, and for the price of the meal I thought that could have been improved on. Nonetheless very enjoyable and I would go back! << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 16] Next > Last Page >>
