Set in the Dublin Countryside Hollystown Golf was opened in 1992 to wide acclaim as a fine addition to the Irish Golf Scene. Designed by the late Eddie Hackett this mature parkland setting is blessed with the natural features of trees, lakes and streams.
An extension to the facilities of an additional nine holes, was opened in August 1999 complementing the existing eighteen holes. This has created three loops of nine holes and provides three distinctly different 18-hole combinations each offering a unique challenge to all golfing standards. The additional nine holes was designed by Hollystown Golf Course Superintendent Joe Bedford.
Mature hawthorn, holly, ash, beech, pine and chestnut abound at Hollystown Golf Club. Pheasants and squirrels are also an endearing feature of the healthy country-side setting, where the revitalising seclusion is captured by the century old granite stone face of serene St. Thomas' Church.
