Comfort food! That’s exactly what I had last night - decided to head to Jo Burger in Rathmines for a treat. And what a treat it was… The food here is excellent. The selection of burgers on offer was mind blowing - so many & what unusual types! I couldn't wait to get stuck in. I had the Molapo burger - which was topped with cream & blue cheese - heaven!!! I had it with a side order of garlic corn on the cob. Really enjoyed it - it’s a funky place too, good value too. Joined Feb 10 5 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Seated within a few minutes and food arrived within 15 minutes. Been a few times now and you just cant fault the value and service. Simply put, it is what it is, great tasting gourmet style burgers, but with enough flavours and twists to mix it up each and every time. Great staff, and the wrap is a great alternative to the heavy bun, it leaves you feeling satisfied rather than stuffed. will be back! I was happy I went there alone as shouting over the meal is not my thing. I still had to endure others shouting to each other since the seating is composed of long picnic-style benches where you seat with strangers on your both sides and if you're unlucky like me and they happen to be some plus-sized people for whom the space was definitely not enough, you end up being squashed from both sides and listen to them shouting all through your meal... The bad dining experience was, however, saved by the food. Perfect medium-rare burger, crusty bun, great choice of fresh and innovative fillings (I loved my rocket salad, grilled pepper and almond pesto!). I'm certainly not going back to endure the terrible atmosphere of the place but I'm tempted to try their take-away service. Great place for to meat friends over a healthy burger in the evening as its always very busy and with a great lively atmosphere '); //--> Joined May 10 21 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... gypsy79 (Guru) Credibility Score: 46%   Visited: 19 Jun 2010 | Posted: last month MASSIVE burger. Very impressed. Very tasty too and cooked perfectly medium as requested. I had the chilli satay which was pretty good. My feasting partner had the blue cheese but wasnt mad about the relish that went with it I also had an aspall cider which is a personal fav. Drinks are a little on the dear side All in all a good experience Joined Aug 09 6 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Redrocket (Foodie) Credibility Score: 25%   Visited: 06 Jun 2010 | Posted: last month This is a great local eatery & I am never disappointed when I go here. The food is so fresh & the sauces are really tasty & imaginative. After my first visit I left quite a bit of bun behind on my veggie burger & the waiter suggested that I try the wrap next time. I always go for that option now as you can fill up on the good stuff (the burger & salad) & not the bread. It's a pretty funky interior & the owner/manager (?) is always around with his finger on the pulse. My only little gripe would be that sometimes after a late night when I go for grub the next day the dj/music is a bit too loud for my delicate head! Otherwise it's a thumbs up from me. Great atmosphere. Like the big table and the music. The burgers are so good with so many different options. Only down side is the cost of the drinks tho. Overall great place to go with a group of people... You are guranteed fresh food and a full belly by the time you leave! My only dislike is the seating arrangements, I do appreciate it is a small premises but I really don't like the way they cram people into the tables and the people beside you are literally touching elbows so I try and go a the not so busy times. As for the music, it used to be way too loud but they have turned it down a bit. All in all a great spot and I've never had a bad experience just not great if you have something private or serious to talk about! << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 33] Next > Last Page >>
