The brunch menu has a delicious selection (I've tried it all!) of pancakes, fruit, omelettes, bagels and more. I love that you can get a naughty pancake with a conscience clearing bowl of fruit salad on the side. The coffee is decent and the baked goodies always look so good I end up buying something to take home for later. The staff are always lovely, although it's all quite laid back, so don't be in too much of a hurry. One would imagine, that would be a good idea, however I was disappointed- exceptionally busy at lunch time, the place is a chaos and no one seems to wanna help! However, the good thing is food is warm- not always great though. Their selection seems to be the same on most days, not vary, the salads seem to be covered in sauce and leave little else in terms of flavour and the prices are extortionate! One imagines that the main course would come with atleast 2 salads or something but no such luck, they are extra and at about 2.50 a portion, you end up paying about the same for your sides as you do for your main. Their food looks tastier than it tastes- which from someone who loves the explosion of taste in her mouth, is a bit sad. However, despite all that I say, they have sit-down service for brunch over the weekend and it is well worth a visit then- if only for thei amazingly sumptuous omelettes and hot chocolate! Avoid during the busy times... Dear Joy of Traveling, Thank you very much for your feedback. It is much appreciated. I really appreciate your generous comments regarding our brunch service. However, I know the main purpose of your review was not to comment about that, but to alert us to issues with the weekday lunch service. Below are my comments with regards to the specific points made in your email. · Salads & selection: I am uncertain as to exactly when you came to our shop, but we did reduce the quantity and types of salads prepared over the past two weeks due to the Easter holiday. However, normally we serve around 15 daily salads(non-rotating) and 10 rotating. However, if we run out of a rotating salad, we will not replenish it. Therefore, at any one time we should have about 6 daily salads. We rotate our 3-4 of our sandwich types seasonally and our hot specials rotate daily. I know this is more than most sit-down restaurants, however, I do take your point. I have passed the feedback on to our head chef and we will look for new ways to switch this up a bit. · Pricing: I agree with you – our pricing structure is confusing! We plan to test out a new pricing strategy in the near future, which I hope will be much more transparent than the current structure. We hope to have this up and running by the summer. I hope if you do come in again, you will be happy with this increased transparency. · Taste: Everyone’s taste differs. However, I am very sad to hear that you did not enjoy the taste of the food. I would love to know what you tried and what you think we could improve upon. This is one area I never want to receive complaints and would like to rectify this as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your feedback – I hope we can impress you on your next visit. KC Peaches Cafe & Delicatessen
