Started off with salt and chilli prawns to start - a small enough portion, but which were very tasty! For my main I had the house special curry with fried rice & it was very good too - nice and hot & plenty of beef, chicken, duck, pork and prawns! Along with a few glasses of a nice crisp white wine, it made for a lovely meal. From the moment you are met at the door and shown to your seat the staff are nothing but polite and helpful and do all they can to ensure that you enjoy your meal and visit. They are quite willing to offer advice on the different ways the dishes are prepared and also happy to vary it a little if so requested. I would highly reccommend a visit to Kites. The food was superb. I had prawns (Schezwan) fabulous... 2 stir friend fillet of beef and a lovely chicken dish (I`ve forgotten which one). Starters, scallops for me, a combination plate for 2 and tempura prawns were all considered wonderful. The staff are unobtrusive but helpful. We Will be back. Twenty people went for lunch and the service was very good. Most of the food looked great, but I was disappointed in my duck - not enough meat and no vegetables at all with the dish. Wine menu good value.
