Dublin's newest seafood bar is now open on Crown Alley in Temple Bar. KLAW by Niall Sabongi will offer Oysters, Lobster Rolls, Chowder, Crab, Prawns and more, to eat in or take away. The tiny 12 seater bar is the inner-city crab shack style sister to Niall's Rock Lobster in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum.
KLAW's Oysters are from Achill Island, Galway Bay or Waterford, served three ways: naked, dressed or torched, priced from €2. An Oyster Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm every day (#shucknsuck) is ideal for a pre-dinner treat with all oysters just €1, perfect paired with a glass of Prosecco for €6.
From the Shellfish menu there's a choice of a 1/2 pint of Atlantic Prawns with a brandy spiked 'mary rose' sauce (€9.50), Lambay Crab Claws with yuzu aioli (€12), 1/2 Lobster (€14), Lobster Roll (€12), Crab on Toast (€10) and Whole Crab (€12).
On the drinks menu, there's wines (Picpoul, Albarino, Tempranillo, Shiraz), Heineken, Guinness, Galway Bay and for bubbles - Champagne and Prosecco. There's a wide variety of Bloody Marys, and Bloody Caesars too, with the clam broth making it a great match for seafood.
"We've come a long way with Rock Lobster in Harvey Nichols, slapping the posh out of Lobster, and now we're bringing crab shack style dining to Dublin. This is the best of seafood served in casual style with no compromise on taste!" said Niall Sabongi.
