Only a couple of people in when we got there but soon started to fill up after that. Very pleasant young girl served us and brought water to our table immediately. Ordered the Onion Bhajee and Chicken Pakora for starters - nicely presented and the tastiest either of us have had for a long time. For mains we had the Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi - the Korma was to die for! Creamy and sweet, just like I've been searching for in Dublin, and the chicken melted in my mouth, so tender. The Jalfrezi was full of flavour, but not quite as hot as my partner is used to, this suited me fine as I dont like hot dishes. The chicken in this dish was on the bone but still as tender as the Korma. I wasn't too impressed with the look of the fried rice until I tasted it - so aromatic, it was delicious. Great value for money and we'll certainly be back again to try more of their dishes. The only thing that confused us slightly was the menu, it seemed a little 'jumbled' but we found our way around it and thoroughly enjoyed out meal there. I will definitely be going back! (Vegetarians - there's something here for you, too!) I was seated straight away, by someone who seems to own the place, and a bottle of water was placed in front of me straight away, a good start. As a big fan of Indian food,I was curious to try a Dosa, so I was recommended the Masala Dosa.It was very very good, tasty, filling and great value at 8.95. I was very surprised to learn that they have been in business for four years, but I suppose that's Mary Street for you. It would be a great place to eat either before or after a visit to Cineworld. I'm looking forward to returning, and trying out their full menu. The staff is helpful and nice, and the service quick enough. The price is unbeatable. Only negative note: I got the impression it's not very clean and tidy. The food is incredible and there is a large menu to choose from, including a huge variety of vegetarian options. It is really reasonable in terms of price and the staff are always great. I would thoroughly recommend it. The place was pretty full when we arrived for dinner at 6pm. I ordered the panner tandoori to start and the chicken curry for my main. Both dished were delicious. My friends were also very impressed with the food. The prices were very reasonable too. At one point about 20 indian/pakistan people came into the restaurant and many of the other diners were of the same origin which to me is a very good sign that the resturant has authentic good food. The next time you want a quick, informal indian mean, I would highly recommend this place. Not just Indian, Keralin from the South coast of India. I've had dishes here that I haven't seen in 10 years since the cafes in London. Now we get this experience in Dublin. We ordered two veggie starters. Gol Gappa which was spring onion and other veg in a ligh crispy shell which you dipped in a slightly fruity sauce - very light and satisfying. The Anu Channa Chat was a light yoghurt and onion sauce with poppudoms broken and sprinkled over - again, so light and we ate it till the last drop. The first main was Bindhi Gost which was lamb and ocra cooked in a medium spicy sauce. I've had it many times before but this was the best. Just the right amount of ghee used in the cooking. We also both had a Dosa. This is rice pancake stuffed with mildly spiced potato. Fantastic and very light. Overall a very cheap and satisfying meal and a great place for veggies looking for something exciting. The staff we friendly and attentive and I'll certainly be back soon. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 17] Next > Last Page >>
