Previously, the food has always been wonderful, and this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Dublin. However, the starters were pretty poor this time...service is great though...we were in a party of 5, and several un-ordered dishes and accompaniments were brought to our table. Nice value set menu, too. I popped in for a quick lunch and that's exactly what I got with some Naan bread thrown in for good measure, and all for under a tenner! Happy days. We all ended up going for the value meal for e16.95 and it was nice enough. All the starters, pakora, onion bajii, chicken tandoori, and aloo were lovely but I kind of thought the mains were just so so. Nice but lacking a punch, even when we asked for two dishes to be extra hot. Staff friendly and food served very quickly but would I go again? hmmmm not sure. Food was nice but nothing amazing. Onion bhaji quite greasy, Korma was nice but warm as opposed to hot when it arrived. Service is just ok. The set menu is good value at €16.95. Overall it is an ok place to eat. Quite busy so atmosphere is good but there are plenty of other indian restaurants that provide better quality food and much better service. Don't really have anything bad to say about this place. It was average and ok for dinner but shop around as there are better places around town. We had no booking but we were seated easily, at the back which was grand. My starter of "King" Prawns was very poor value. €9 for 2 tiny, overcooked, dry and rubbery prawns. They were obviously way too overcooked. Probably had to wait a bit too long for our mains to arrive after the starters. but we weren't too bothered because we had our bottle of Pinot Grigio to keep us busy :) Despite the poor starter, My Main was VERY nice! I ordered a Lamb dish, Moshola Kosha Mangsho, which put a smile back on my face. It comes in a very thick sort of sauce and I would highly reccomend this for it's taste and value. And the Garlic naan was both crispy and soft and hot which worked well for cleaning my bowl with towards the end. The Service was mostly good. Although not a single person acknowledged us or said goodbye or thank you when we were leaving. Liked BEST: My Main. Gorgeous flavour and green chillies keeping the firey surprise alive in this dish. Liked LEAST: My Starter. poor value for money and not much taste at all. Will NOT order a starter if I go here again. After reading the latest review, I was worried thing had gone downhill. No need to worry, food was as good as always, staff are lovely. Restaurant got very noisy with xmas parties but that's to be expected this time of year. Won't stop coming here. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 14] Next > Last Page >>
