Food was excellent, meatballs and Salmon were particularly delicious. Generous portions and good quality food. Good atmosphere, there was a hen party there which were quite loud at times but did not affect our night overall. Will def be back! I'm glad we did the food was glorious and the service fantastic. we skipped the starters and went for the lamb cutlets that were priced at 16.50, so cheap! They were cooked to perfection with a side of mashed potato that was also pretty delicious! The steak was also delicious with potato gratin on the side and a nice side salad. washed it all down with a lovely italian beer with views of the liffey. it has a nice decor inside but may be lacking atmosphere. The food was tasty not very fancy but hearty. had the beef burrito, nachos etc. Only fault was that it was not very spicy although it had said on the menu that it would be. good place if you are on a budget and want a good sized dinner. Funny girl (Newbie) Credibility Score: 11%   Visited: 25 Jun 2010 | Posted: 3 Weeks ago Went for the early bird with work collegues on a Friday evening, the food portions were smaller than expected but once we started to eat, the freshness and incredibly tasty food was delightful. The portions although initially looked small were perefectly sized, the flavours were superbly combined and among the 11 peolple who dined, there were no complaints, wine was good and value wise we would definitly return for more Joined Aug 09 24 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Atmosphere etc. in this restaurant is really nice & it is a great 'date night' spot. Value for money was really good, particularly as we had a MenuPages voucher! However, the food and service were a little disappointing. I had nachos to start which were delish and then Tagliatetelle ai Gamberi for main. The tomato sauce with the pasta was sort of sweet & tasted almost like a stir-in sauce. Most disappointing was dessert - creme brulee with cinnamon. Creme brulee is my favourite & i love to see it on a menu. I don't know what came out, but it was not a brulee. The top was soft, not crunchy & the creme was lumpy. Also, it tasted of coconut, not cinnamon? It left a really poor last impression... The first impression wasn't great either - a slightly grumpy waitress who was clearly too busy to look after the entire section. I had heard great things, but sadly my own experience of this restaurant was disappointing. We availed of the early bird menu on a Monday evening so we paid 13.95e for a starter + main course. I had the garlic mushrooms for starters which consisted of a huge bowl of mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The portion was far too big and while i usually like garlic mushrooms I felt that the dish was overpowered by the garlic. I physically wouldn’t have been able to finish the dish. The vegetable burrito was much nicer though. Overall the staff were friendly and efficient and we had a nice amount of privacy at our table. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 66] Next > Last Page >>
