Love the atmousphere and the water features are great! Really good thai food and authentic seating options are a good touch. Very good service to match. The atmosphere and layout is pleasant - no complaints, the service is very good but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the Lamb massuman curry. The sauce was very flavourful but the meat was really tough and I left most behind. The desert and wine were enjoyable but the main course is what I was looking forward to. My guest ordered off the bar's european menu and was equally uninspired. Pity, because it is a very pleasant environment in which to dine. Thought it was delicious, and really good value - €35 for 3 mains and a starter. Only question would be why we got a seperate box with cucumber and pineapple pieces in it - very random!!! Pad thai was absolutely delicious, and good portion size. Nazi Goreng was good too, but a bit on the big side. Will defo return, highly recommend. We had to order starter and main course. While the setting is nice we were disappointed with the food. We got duck springroll to start and there was little if any duck in it. it was all shoots and carrots and a very greasy pastry. For main course my boyfriend got spicy noodles and I got red thai curry. The duck in my curry was dried out and I did not eat most of it. THe sauce and rice were pretty good if not very spicy. My boyfriends noodles were basically noodles and oil and he didn't eat it. I had 2 glasses of wine and the bill still came to 45euros. I would have raging if I had had to pay the full amount of 65 as the meal definitely wasn't worth it- I felt like I was eating a bad takeaway and I certainly won't be back '); //--> Joined Feb 08 35 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... ozzyoh (Guru) Credibility Score: 76%   Visited: 24 Apr 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago Went here for a meal with my partner, and loved it. There was a nice ambience, not too busy, not too quiet. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the fruity Chardonnay that we opted for. I had the warm beef salad to start with, along with the prawn dish for mains. Both were amazing, and I would go so far as to say the prawns were the nicest I've ever tasted! My partner had the combo platter for starters which included prawns, beef, chicken and he really enjoyed it. He had the steak for mains, which he thought was ok, but not the tenderest. For dessert, I had the Chocolate ganache pudding...highly recommended for chocolate lovers everywhere! To die for. Some bad points are that it's sooo far out of town-and very hard to find in Sandyford - we didn't know it was part of the Beacon Hospital, so we were searching for ages, had to ask directions eventually! The meal was also quite expensive, with the bill coming to over 80 euros AFTER a €20 discount being applied. But all in all, I did love the food here, and the service was good - so I would come back! This place just gets better and I would recommend it for anyone in the area as it is a must. The staff are more than friendly and very hospitable and they did not seem to be in any hurry to get us out to clear up.
