The restaurant was packed and noisy and the atmosphere was great. The food as always in Salamanca was fantastic, and big portions! We had the chicken wings, stuffed peppers, a salad, patatas bravas and a pretty decent bottle of house white for 50 euro. Has something for everybody, will definitely go back again and again! It was really busy for a Sunday evening. The majority of the other tables seemed to be availing of the tapas tower offer which looked really nice. We decided to order off the menu however. The portions here are huge - not your average tapas size by any means so be aware when ordering. We ended up with enough food for a small army. I have to say though, the quality of the food varied. The chorizo in red wine was delicious but the tapa de marisco (seafood) that we ordered was not so great. The rest was fine though and service was great with waiter constantly refilling our glasses. It was also good value. Wouldn't be my first choice for tapas but it's not too bad at all. The service was pleasant and efficient even though half our table were late. The food was fine, nothing special, but tasty and cheap for lunch which is what we were after. I would return for lunch. Really nice atmosphere and a great menu; which has something for everyone. The service was really good also. I got tuna steak which was beautiful. Got a good few other sides all of which were really tasty. The meatballs are fantastic! Its a great place that always has a great vibe. Definitely reccomend it! I arrived before my party and they seated me and quickly brought me the Fleurie, quite nice!! I had the monkfish and salmon brochette and we shared a few other dishes. I had the patatas cubos with the garlic mayo because the patatas bravas and patatas alioli are not that great unfortunately. The waitress was generally nice although she seemed to be put out by my request for the patatas to be served with the garlic sauce which was rather odd! Everything else was lovely though. Nice atmosphere, good food, wine and service. (one aside - Toilets are tiny - there is not enough room to walk by someone comfortably!) Between the 2 of us we managed 3 main courses, 1 sides of potatoes, one dessert, one bottle of wine. Bill was €65 which was excellent value for what we got. Early bird tapas selection is really good also, cant wait to go back! We just missed the early bird which finishes at 6.30 but went for the tapas platters instead, which had a good selection each for €16, The platters included meatballs, potatoes with garlic sauce, prawn and chicken skewers and cheese and serano ham! The meatballs were my favourite! We got one platter for 2 people and one for one person and the portion sizes between the two were a lot different with the one for one person being better value. My only complaint was that there was no waitresses around for the duration of our meal so we were left without water which was badly needed. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 81] Next > Last Page >>
