The food was excellent. I had Moules Mariniere to start and Sea Bass main, the other half had Scallops and Crab followed by a jerk chicken dish. All the seafood was excellent. The wine was very good and the espresso to finish was very good. Service started off very well but tailed off later in the meal. One down side - we had the kids with us and they are good eaters. However, the half portions of pasta that we ordered were huge resulting in added stress for us in trying to get them to eat up. Another - they told us that they were changing the menu and therefore they did not have this, this, this, this, etc. There was plenty of choice because they had loads of specials. But don't tell me what you don't have. Reprint your menus. How much does a few sheets of paper and ink cost. IMO, the 'unavailabilities' make a customer nervous. Food is amazing and so fresh. Would highly recommend the fillet steak and the fish cakes. A bit expensive but worth it. Service was good too. We were treated like a King and Queen and what a fantastic day we had. Arrived at the restaurant that was decorated just for us. Champagne reception with Canapés, followed by a sit down 5 course meal. All our guests were amazed at the choice on the special menu they had for us, all freshly cooked food to order with an amazing selection. Service was fantastic and they really looked after every little thing for us. Even before the wedding there was no stress at all for us, they had thought of everything. We never wanted the big Hotel wedding and were so glad we chose to have ours at Seabank. Cheaper than a Hotel and 5* food, location and staff. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks to all the staff for making our day so special. I found the food to be very good and the service was good too. The place has a nice cosy feel to it. We were quite early but there was a good atmosphere, helped I suppose by the small size of the place. I did think though that the menu was a little bit on the pricey side for what was on offer, espically compared to what you can get elsewhere, though Malahide seems to be a law unto itself when it comes to pricing. Overall was impressed and would come again, if around those parts in the future. We have eaten here a few times and got a nice welcome when we arrived. The food was good as usual and there were a few different things on their specials blackboard which we tried and were not disappointed. The service and atmosphere always seems to be good. It always seems to cost a little more than you think it will but at least everything is worth it. Had booked a table for Friday at 8.30. No table ready when we arrived. Had to sit (in a tiny squashed area)for nearly 25 minutes and wait for people to leave the table - they had been there for an early bird. When we complained, the waiter claimed that the people "just won't move" and "what more can I do"!!! Isn't that wonderful service and what an attitude - for those of us that had booked for 8.30. Eventually got sitting down at at 8.55pm. We were not even offer a complimentary coffee or tea much less a glass of wine, for the inconvenience. Indeed the waiter was quite abrupt and had a 'couldn't care less' attitude. Food was fine but way overpriced. Needless to say we won't be back - not with that attitude. Some places never really learn do they - "the customer is king". Take note Seabank. I felt it was a little too expensive for what you are getting. It has a very cafe feel to it, we sat near the till, so there was real bustle to the place - I think this contributed to my sense of cafe. The food was very good though, and the fish extremely fresh. The service was top notch through out the night, and we weren't made to feel rushed even though we were the last in the restaurant. I did enjoy my trip, but will avail of early birds/offers before going back again! Great place for a group of friends to go, and to be very relaxed << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 9] Next > Last Page >>
