The Shelbourne Townhouse is a family run bed & breakfast located in the middle of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre and only about a 2 minute walk from the nearest DART stop.

The rooms in the house are all tastefully decorated and are ensuite. The house has 4 rooms including a family room and they come with a TV, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. You won't have to worry about parking as the house has its own private car park and this family friendly house is fully central heated.

The Shelbourne Townhouse is just around the corner from Lansdowne Road which is the home of Irish rugby and soccer, though the stadium is currently been demolished and a new more modern facility is being put in place, completion due in 2009. Other major attractions close by are numerous embassies including the US Embassy and the RDS which is one of the main exhibition and concert venues in the country. There are about 10 classy pubs in the nearby area so you won't have to head into town if you are looking for a night out.

But if you do head into the city you can go shopping on O'Connell Street, Henry Street or Grafton Street. The city is full of museums, galleries and other touristy things that are well worth doing. Temple Bar is located not too far away and this is the night time venue of choice for most people in the city as it has all the best restaurants, pubs and nightclubs.
