Formerly known as Keatings, this pub's appearance is deceiving - from the outside it looks pretty much like a standard pub but inside it is a different story. The bar area covers three levels, and is contemporary and open-plan, a feel which is emphasised by the eclectic music playing in the background. Worth a visit. Went here for a quick lunch with my daughter during a shopping trip in town. We had my 7 month old grandson with us so we asked for a high chair which was filthy when it arrived. We asked the waitress to clean it before we used it so she took it away and brought it back and advised us to clean it ourselves as they didn't have any disinfectant available. We used a baby wipe to clean it. That should have set the alarm bells ringing but we proceeded to order a tuna and cheese baked potato and a toasted ham, cheese and tuna sandwich. They arrived with no dressing, not a lettuce leaf, slice of tomato or dollop of coleslaw to accompany. The tuna was completely dry, the cheese was barely melted, in a word the food was "disgusting". I had to request a portion of butter and mayonaise just to make it edible. The door banged loudly every time someone came in or out and the entire experience was horrible. The staff were disinterested at best. Outside I stopped short of warning some people who were reading the menu on the window. I had a meal here on Saturday and it was way too greesey!. I ordered potato skins and my partner ordered Lazangne, he enjoyed it but i deffinitly didn't. It is a great pub for after work drinks or sports, as i have been on a few occasions and enjoyed the athmosphere, but i won't be back for the food.
