The Carpenter is a very nice establishment. It is well run, clean and the staff are very nice!..They have some great flat screen TV's for the football so theres no excuses lads! theres also a beer garden which is lovely during the summer with a cool pint and on sundays there is a carvery. It had been a long time since I had eaten here and unfortunately I won't be running back. My bf had the turkey and ham dinner, the meat was good enough but the veg was totally tasteless and the stuffing was dry. The choice of veg was also very boring. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a hot beef sandwich on brown bread with stuffing. Firstly they were obviously running out of bread as one of my slcies was the heal of the bread with some of it cut off. The meat in the sandwich was very fatty and the stuffing so dry that I had to drown it in mayonnaise. however, I found the whole thing just inedible and very dissapointing. Perhaps I made a bad choice on my lunch option but I can't say I'll be rushing back for food. I use their off-licence frequently to buy wine and I always find the staff there extremely friendly and helpful.
