The Church is one of Dublin’s most unique establishments. This restored former Church is situated in the heart of Dublin’s shopping district, with five distinct settings on four levels. Described as the ‘ideal venue’ visitors from all over Ireland and across the globe are wowed by the splendour that the Church has to offer. Good value, nice staff, and the best Risotto in Dublin. We got food from the BBQ which was quite reasonably priced. However, our burgers were not cooked in the middle which was off putting. When the sun was gone and we wanted to move inside, it was impossible to get a table as a large number of them were reserved for customers who did not appear to turn up. We ended up sitting at the bar and it was near impossible to get any ones attention to buy a drink. We left after 2 drinks. While the food was reasonably priced the price of drinks was more than I expected, even in Dublin city centre. On sunny days it is hard to beat, I will definitely come back. I thought the bar menu was great with a lot of choices. I opted for the daily special of Roast Beef & Veg very good value for €9.95. My partner opted for the Steak Sandwich again we thought it was good value. The little lad had a mini stake and chips. For deserts it was ice cream for two of us and Baileys Cheesecake for herself. Overall we could not fault the food in any way and the general value was spot on in my opinion. Even though it was very busy (3pm ish) the service was very friendly and timely. They actual place is amazing to view and worth a visit for that alone. All in all I would have no problem in recommending it to others at all. We intend to return to try the restaurant upstairs very soon. I was pleastly surprised by the quality of the food on offer. The staff are a bit cold but the food is delicous and good value BBQ Joined Mar 10 28 Reviews 2 Hats Off! loading... iheartnoodles (Guru) Credibility Score: 55%   Visited: 17 Apr 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago I'm surprised reading the other reviews about the Church, we come here quite often as it's the most convenient location around Henry street for lunch or dinner. They have a great value BBQ which you can smell as you pass. Such great value for E10 .Lots of nice salads too. Outside area is huge but was really busy and there was no room left for us .Back inside we were seated by a friendly hostess as soon as a table became available. The bar itself is beautiful, breathtaking almost. The floor area is huge so the waiting staff were very busy as expected, but very willing to help when we needed it. We had Buffalo wings to start, which were delicious, I had the Lasagne and my boyfriend had the daily special Arrabiatta. All was perfect and food came quickly. We shared the baileys cheesecake dessert, which was presented beautifully and tasted divine. All of my experiences at the Church have always been positive ones, considering I work locally We even had our Christmas party in The Church which was very well catered for too. All in all it's a very busy place and great buzz about it , which provides great service. I will definitely be returning again. We had no assistance from the staff on this. yet as soon as we sat down they rushed over to tell us that we would have to vacate our seats in an hour as they had a booking. I got the chicken and mash which was the special of the day. It was actually cold. i had to ask him to heat it up...TWICE because the first time he brought it back it just wasnt warm at all. I'm not normally at all picky about my foot but thought the food quality was very poor Joined Sep 08 44 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... ashy84 (Guru) Credibility Score: 82%   Visited: 07 Apr 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago I had 2 for 1 vouchers for the bar menu here so decided to try it out. It is hard to find a seat, which you have to do yourself and a lot of the empty ones are reserved. The food is typical bar food, not much choice for vegetarians such as myself. I had the creamy veg pasta which had no veg in it. My friend had the arrabiata which was alright. We had the church fries on the side which was great and easily the best dish on the table. Overall, not great value for money but with the vouchers it was OK. Wouldn't go there again. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 23] Next > Last Page >>
