Hip style modern conversion at the Dart end of Dalkey. Several nearby restaurants, including and adjacent, the best pizza in this fair city. The crowd are beautiful and happening. They have prawns, duck spring rolls, nachos etc. I usually just get a starter with fries or something similar. Really good food I think & nice salads to accompany the dishes. Lyndan (Connoisseur) Credibility Score: 52%   Visited: 06 Feb 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago I have been going to the club for food for years now and have always found it very nice however I visited last night and I the food has really gone downhill. The first thing that bothers me is that I feel the prices have not come down in the last year - the fillet steak is on the menu at 22euro and because its a pub I feel that you should pay less then you would in a restaurant. Last night we decided to go for fish and chips and chicken tenders and chips. The chicken tenders are on the menu at 8euro and then its 3.30 for a portion of chips. I got 4 small chicken tenders they were fine but a very small portion, the chips had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them which although a nice touch not something you expect on your chips and one of our party didn't eat cheese so couldn't have the chips. My hubbie had the fish which was frozen and it was supposed to be beer battered which he believes it wasn't, the batter was quite rubbery. Overall i wasn't impressed last night and wouldn't rate the pubs bar food anymore - it has definitely gone downhill. Eat here a couple times a month and food is very tasty. Chicken supreme is lovely and they always do great portions. Menu is pretty large have tried a few different dishes, salmon is also very nice. Could offer a few healthier options but overall the place is really nice!
