I never had anything I wasn't satisfied with. Probably the best fillet steak I ever had and the most generous portions too. Topped up with a nice service and lovely beer garden. I will be back soon. Really cosy and the food was just fantastic, really delicious! It isn't cheap but you really get what you pay for here! Will be back again soon! It was set menu of 30 euros per person and it was for starter mains dessert and tea/coffee and mince pies. The menu was very extensive and varied. I ordered fishcakes to start and then the seabass. The portions were really big and I got two large pieces of Seabass for my main and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ended up sharing some of both courses around as they were so good. The rest of the table ordered the sirloin steak and they were all cooked exactly how they each ordered them and they must have been 10oz each. There were plenty of bowls of vegetables and all really fresh. I ended up eating lots of them too. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was again very good. The rest ordered apple pies and icecreams and were all very happy. Then the teas/coffees and mince pies came out too. We were seated in the bar part as it was so busy but it was a great party atmosphere and then a band started up. Hats off to them after 8 delicious meals on such a busy night. We'll definitely be back soon. The food is quite nice but definitely a bit pricey for what you're getting. Very quiet in the small restaurant area but extremely loud in the bar area and a bit daunting to walk through on a busy night looking for the Ladies. I recommend checking receipt as there was a pricey bottle of red on ours that hadn't been ordered by us which ended in a lengthy wait while it was sorted and no appology for the mistake. Overall I would say it's fairly good food but overpriced! Great value, great choice, old traditional good food with side orders of veg, chips and potatotes at no extra cost. Would 100% go again -soon.
