The word "teppanyaki" is derived from "teppan" (which means "iron plate") and "yaki" (which means "grilled"). The art of teppanyaki is relatively new in the long history of Japan... Accompanied with SUSHI it creates the backbone of modern Japanese cuisine. We serve very generous portions of the very best cooked Irish steak and fish (fresh from the Dublin markets daily) We offer a truly unique dining experience... And probably the best selection of fresh SUSHI available in Dublin today... You are most welcome to sit around our chefs, see your food prepared in front of you ... and perhaps even give it a lash yourself? The menu is a little limited, everyone get the same thing expect your choice of meat or fish, for that reason I recommend sitting around the cooking counter, as the chefs put on a great show. Portion sizes are ideal and you get a good mix of veg and rice. There’s not that much to choose from for desert but that is probably a good thing and the coffee is good. Overall excellent value for money and I'd definitely return '); //--> Joined Dec 08 24 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... hayleybrk (Guru) Credibility Score: 63% Visited: 01 May 2010 | Posted: last month Went here for a friends birthday. About 10 of us went and we got to sit around the cooking area. Was great fun being able to watch them cook everything up - a little unsociable though and we ended up sitting in straight lines so you literally just get to talk to who's beside you. If going in a small group id recommend just asking for a table! The food was really really nice. I had the chicken tippenyaki, would definitely get it again. The sauces that come with it are devine! Most people went for the steak or chicken tippenyaki. Nobody had any complaints! Would def go back again if I was invited but its not necessarily somewhere I'd pop into with say just my boyfriend. Great for a birthday or special occasion though! A must try once anyway! Great food, great service, great value. The tepanyaki cooking at the bar is great fun- best check that out if it's your first time, or if you're there with a group. They're in the habit of putting on unusual meats as specials- I've tried ostrich & crocodile- both were excellent. Also, their sushi is phenomenal- possibly the best I've ever had. Try the dynamite rolls. I often find myself driving (a fair distance) out here just to get these to take-away. Yum. '); //--> Joined May 10 1 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... I always come back to Tippenyaki for the quality of their ingridients, the salmon, shrimps, beef, duck are really the finest you can find... The service is good and friendly, simple and efficient. And it is great value for what you get in your plate! Its all very disappointing as i passed the restaurant the other day and we were really looking forward to going, the décor with the grill in the front of the room was quite cool and it had alot of potential but the food was just awful and so was the service and i am amazed it got previous high reviews Joined Feb 09 32 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... pickysarah (Guru) Credibility Score: 67% Visited: 23 Jan 2010 | Posted: over 2 months ago I went to this little place not knowing what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. For people who enjoy sushi, it is good here. And so much better than the city center competition which I can attest to, made me doubt that Dublin had any good sushi restaurants. They also have wonderful other dishes where you can watch the chef make them in front of you. Definitely would go back here, and try one of the other dishes with my sushi. It was my boyfriends first time having sushi, and he liked it, and he is one picky guy, so this place is sushi done right. I might add that the staff is freindly and very courteous :) << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 20] Next > Last Page >>
