I got the tandoori chicken which was so nice. The cocktails are quite expensive especially in 'these' times, but they are worth it! Our lovely waiter let me try a cocktail from the new menu that wasn't printed yet which was very interesting. It's a cool room to dine in also. Firstly, Venu must be the best place for cocktails, whether you are staying on to eat, or going on somewhere else. Certainly not cheap, but the variety and flavours of the cocktails have to be seen to be believed. Really top stuff !! Secondly, the service here is really good - friendly, relaxed, attentive, but not in your face the whole time. Thirdly, the food is good. We each had the same to eat - chicken liver parfait to start which was really good (we know our pate/parfait) and the burgers and fries to follow were as good as we've eaten. Two desserts were nice. The bill including four cocktails and a bottle of wine was € 113, which we think is very good value. Only problem - at 10pm we were the only diners - hope that was unusual (Tuesday night), because Venu deserves to do well. We'll be back ! Staff extemely welcoming & friendly as before. Excellent early bird menu and value for money. Funky decor and music. Starters of potato cake and salmon were very tasty. Burger with foie gras had amazing flavours.Duck fillet also lovely. Strawberry desert amazing. House wines at 6.50 nice if a little pricey. Will be back! Foie Gras was missible, but chicken for main course was nice. It was supposed to be a type of Tandoori thing, but wasn't like any Tandoori I tasted. Service was excellent, and it was reasonably good value for money. '); //--> Joined Apr 09 42 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... I was very impressed with the food, but the waiter who was serving us had a bit of an attitude. I will dine here again and would recommend the steak. I have been here a few times before but for those who had not they were very impressed by this trendy spot. The bar is an excellent meeting point for pre dinner cocktails! Would recommend the crab & apple salad to starters and hot chocolate sabyon for dessert. The food and service was excellent. We were all very impressed by this place and look forward to returning. << First Page < Prev [Results 1 - 8 of 36] Next > Last Page >>
