Wrights Café Bar exudes comfort and style. The upper area is kitted out lounge style, with a bordello feel with beautiful chandlers and a dramatic mix of cream and red furniture. The plasma screens throughout the bar are constantly showing the most up to date music, fashion and of course the most important matches from soccer to table tennis! Our newly refurbished downstairs eatery is unique in that it is the perfect destination for quality food and a quiet drink in the afternoon or evening. We serve a wide variety of food daily from steak to seafood. Taste for all food pallets. Daily specials, lunch specials and children's menus are available. I eat here regularly, its great value and the food is excellent, there are specials on every day. My Dad is fussy but loves the seafood special, the chicken wings are good. There is great choice on the menu. The service is one of the main reasons we keep going back. Its a great spot for a get-together and the staff will reserve an area or table for you, its pub / bistro dining at its best. Sunday brunch is yum too. Keep up the good service and value guys! This time, while the food was fine (not spectacular) the service was as slow as ever. There is a lot of lunch business in the Swords area, but for Wrights to get their share they will need to speed up the service. '); //--> Joined Apr 08 9 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... We both got fajitas and they were gorgeous! Really tastey and full of flavour, served with lovely sides and chips. I would very much recommend them to anyone. Staff were friendly and did a good job. Although there were very few customers in the place, we were kept waiting around 15 or 20 minutes before our order was taken. My girlfriend ordered soup as a starter which arrived promptly and cold. 45 minutes later our main courses had still not arrived and our waiter was spending all his time serving a table of 6, no doubt in expectation of a better tip than we would give - which turned out to be the case. Having asked someone who appeared to more attentive to the customers how long we would be waiting, we were told "2 minutes". A further 10 minutes later we were putting on our coats and leaving - still unfed. My girlfriend offered to pay for her soup, an offer that was rightly turned down. We were then told to come back any time and we would be "sorted out". Something certainly needs to be sorted out... We were in time for the earlybird (which the young lady kindly pointed out) ... that was an unexpected bonus. We all got chicken wings for starters - I recommend the spicy ones ... really good (don't try on a first date dude!). I got the Cod & home made Chips - my wife got the same (as she is always trying to eat off my plate ... 20 years married, some things don't change) - The Cod & Chips were mouth watering. I would like a more intimate setting personally but hey you can't have everything. The beer & wine price wise was reasonable enough (just to wash down the meal of course) - and to top everything off the waitress was a sweetheart ... I did say I was married, didn't I ? Food was only mediocre considering the price and the service was not very good. Won't go back!
