We regularly dine here and in their other restaurant on the quays for lunch or with friends. Up to this we have never had any complaints and its been one of our very favorite places to eat. On this occasion we were very disappointed to be told to leave after enjoying a delicious meal and a few glasses of wine. We had booked the table early and at 10.30 were told they needed the table, when we looked around there were at least 4-5 free tables and only 6 people approx. waiting to be seated. We asked for another glass of wine and the manager told the waitress not to serve us. We were so very embarrassed and hence wont be eating here again. We went in here on a Sunday afternoon, spotted the lunch specials on the sign outside. We had a lunch bento, a chilli chicken ramen and some spicy tuna sushi roll. Really pleasantly surprised. Got a cup of green tea when we sat down and evreything that arrived was hot and cold where appropriate and spicy where desired. Waitress was slightly hungover but very friendly - we got a bowl of rice instead of a miso but this was replaced quickly and without fanfare. Bill was fair, Ramen was excellent, a good kick to it, ideal for post Saturday night recovery soakage. Will definitely be back. '); //--> Joined Jul 08 17 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... Fishfinnx (Connoisseur) Credibility Score: 57% Visited: 10 May 2010 | Posted: 2 Weeks ago Love this place, my favourite is the tempura prawns to start and the chilli beef ramen . The beef has been marinated for ages in chilli and garlic and so so nice. Dish could be spicier and it's annoying that they charge for extra chilly sauce. Nice french waiter who recommended a very nice bottle of red go us. Not the cheapest place but quality of good is good Joined May 10 4 Reviews 0 Hats Off! loading... ais23 (Newbie) Credibility Score: 24% Visited: 23 Jun 2010 | Posted: 3 Weeks ago We went here on a wednesday evening at about 9pm and the place was buzzing. The food was delicious, so fresh and tasty. The staff were very friendly and they couldn't do enough for us. The set menu was very reasonable and had a great choice on it. Everything was fantastic and very vegan friendly. As we were eating late we all skipped straight to mains. Two people had Tuna teriyaki, two people had the Bento Box and one had the Snapper. All of the food was good. The service on the night was very bad. Two meals came out and then there was a 10 minute wait before the others arrived to the table. One of the Bento boxes came without the Miso soup. Plates were cleared while we were still eating. We didn't bother staying for dessert and definitely won't be back. A saturday staple of mine is the regular bento box, which changes every day and is great value, getting shusi, a meat/fish dish, sometimes both, tofu or noodles, along with rice and miso soup, if you are not a meat eater there is a vegi bento on offer. For a starter another favorite of mine is the shashimi platter, the best in dublin, a little pricey at twelve euro, but the fish is so fresh. Yamamori also has a small selection of japanese beers, but sadly no longer sells iki beer. A great place for afternoon eats, or a night out. I always order edamane beans and california snowcrab and avocado which are yum. Today I was with a few people and tried the duck ramen which was very tasty and a hige portion. We also ordered tempura prawns in a light batter which were nice and crispy. A good place to eat if you're in a hurry as service is speedy. A firm favorite!
